Satelite Plus

Shop Floor Control (SFC)

Satelite Plus SFC offers you complete control over your shop floor. You’ll have real time access to employee status, work in process status, line balancing, and engineering data.

Check employees attendance in each section of your plant.

Examine your indirect costs in real-time. Supervisors approve downtime (off-standard) requests, which the operator requests by customizable code number. This will allow you to better manage excess cost, and implement cost and time saving measures.

At a touch, confirm the status of production schedules in your factory, as well as balance each section as needed.

Maintain your engineering data in real time. You can choose to update operation times immediately, or wait until the end of a shift to apply changes. In a matter of minutes, add new styles with the labor routing, and immediately be able to produce.

Assess plant productivity by employee, job, or section.

Flexibility
Satelite Plus SFC runs off a Windows Server or AS/400 framework, with several different languages available. You can choose English, Spanish or French by terminal or display.

You can also choose to use Satelite Plus terminology, or define your own, reducing the learning curve.

Reliability
Running your factory 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? No problem! Satelite Plus SFC can handle 24/7 operation, as well as relieve administrative burden in processing incentive and payroll.

Satelite Plus SFC is built on a stable platform. All updates are tested repeatedly before being deployed to each installation. With the low cost maintenance contract, you will receive regular updates.

You will also benefit from peer suggestion. When a custom change is requested, the programming staff at CGS evaluates the need, and will add it to every installation if value is added. Of course, custom programming is also available for an additional charge.

Barcoding
Using either your system created barcode, or Satelite Plus’s coupons, your operators will scan to record incentive and/or FR lot tracking. There’s no need for a “chit” for every job - Satelite Plus SFC uses the same barcode regardless of the operation.

Operator Benefits

  • Improved Productivity
  • Less Wasted Time
  • Empowerment
  • Improved earnings

You and your operators will benefit from increased productivity. Using the real time terminal, an operator can check their efficiency at any time throughout the day, and use a countdown timer to show the amount of time it should take for that operation.

By checking downtime and requiring approval, you’ll be better able to manage wasted time - and the employee will see the effect of wasted time on their efficiency %.

Your employee is given control over their incentive, and will realize their ability to improve their earnings.
